The project concerning a computerized system for the management of waste collection service, developed as part of the collaboration between the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Udine and the municipality of Tavagnacco, a number of main areas of work They can be summarized as follows:

  • retreats at home: call handling to book retreats at domicilo concerning bulky waste / durable, cardboard and green;

  • reports: management of reports of various kinds relating to the waste for which it is planned home collection.

Home collection is made for wastes incombranti / durables (such as appliances, furniture, etc.), The green waste (leaves, grass, etc.) And cartons. The first two categories of waste are available for taxpayers to type "individuals", the third for the "legal entities" (companies).

 

Taxpayers TARSU can book the withdrawal of the material in their own homes (or a specific street number reference) on select days from the calendar for the specific type of waste (first available date). Reservations can be made by calling the call center or online (new ways previously not available) indicating the data of the taxpayer (in the first case, the name and surname of the taxpayer, from which can be derived from the code, the tax code the taxpayer in the second case), the information of the caller (which is not necessarily the taxpayer TARSU; may, for example, be a family member), the address at which it must be harvested and detailed information relating to the elements to collect, such as the area of ​​the waste, the type of material Letting, the type of container (pieces, bags, bundles, etc.) and the quantity that must comply with the limits.

As shown in Figure above, there are different types of users that can interact with the system in different ways:

  •     operators of call center mandated by Net, which record calls with requests for home collection of waste by taxpayers TARSU of the town;
  •     operators of the Net, which control the activity of the call centers and dealing to run (possibly indirectly) collections;
  •     TARSU taxpayers (or their family), which formulate requests for pickup service directly through the web portal municipal;
